With this agreement, AVRwell will port and distribute these clinically validated, high-production-value applications, ensuring continued access for therapists and patients worldwide.

The REAL System applications were widely recognized for their impact in clinical rehabilitation, offering immersive experiences designed to aid recovery from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other neurological conditions. When the REAL System was discontinued, these valuable tools risked being lost to the clinicians and patients who depended on them. By licensing these applications to AVRwell, Penumbra continues its commitment to supporting thrombectomy patients on their journey toward regaining independence and improving their quality of life.

Expanding Access to Proven XR Therapy

With this agreement, AVRwell will bring these applications to a broader audience, ensuring their availability beyond the original REAL System. This initiative aligns with AVRwell’s mission to make XR rehabilitation accessible to all, enabling facilities and XR platforms to integrate best-in-class immersive therapy content into their existing rehabilitation programs.
